What Is The UEFA Champions League, And How Does It Work?

The best 32 teams from each European league qualify for the Champions League. This number varies depending on the quality of the league and ranges from one to four teams. To enter the competition, some squads must compete in qualifiers, whereas higher-ranking clubs are immediately admitted to the group stage.

The first round of qualifiers is followed by the group stages. There are eight groups in all, each containing four teams. Each team plays against every other team in the same group twice, once at home and once away. The top two contestants from each group advance to the knockout phases. It’s a plus to finish first in your group since you’ll be facing a second-place team in the next round.

The knockout phases are as follows: The round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals, and final. Except for the final, each matchup includes one home leg and one away leg.

How Do You Read The UEFA Champions League Odds

Take the odds and multiply by the amount wagered to calculate your win payout. For example, consider a wager on Chelsea to win the title (8/1). To win $900 if you bet $100 on Chelsea to take home the championship and they do so, you must first place a bet on them at 8/1.
